Thomas Claro, Esq. is a Managing Director on Stable Rock's Insurance Services team, bringing more than 20 years of experience across the insurance and risk management industry. A licensed attorney and insurance broker, Tom specializes in providing strategic risk management solutions and comprehensive coverage guidance to individuals, businesses, and institutions navigating complex insurance and regulatory environments.

Prior to joining Stable Rock, Tom held senior roles at leading global carriers and brokerages, including Marsh & McLennan, Arthur J. Gallagher, USI, AIG, and Swiss Re. Earlier in his career, he practiced law privately before transitioning into the insurance industry, building a unique blend of legal and brokerage expertise that informs his client-first approach.

Tom brings a nuanced understanding of regulatory compliance, policy interpretation, and claims advocacy. He works closely with clients to assess risk exposures, structure tailored insurance programs, and ensure legal and financial protections are fully aligned with their broader objectives.

Tom earned his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from the College of the Holy Cross. He is a licensed attorney in the State of New York and a licensed property and casualty insurance broker.

Rock-Solid Outside Of Work

Before his career in law and insurance, Tom played professional football as an offensive lineman from 1996 to 1999, spending time with the Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Barcelona Dragons of NFL Europe. Outside of work, he remains passionate about athletics, teamwork, and discipline—principles that continue to shape his professional approach.
