Thomas Cagna is a seasoned alternative investments executive with over 25 years of experience across hedge fund operations, financial management, and regulatory compliance.

As Managing Director of CFO & Accounting Support within the Investment & Asset Management Services division, Thomas brings a rare blend of institutional expertise and entrepreneurial execution to the funds and managers he serves.

For the past 14 years, Thomas has specialized in the operational build-out of emerging hedge fund managers, guiding new launches from inception through institutional scale. His approach centers on constructing best-in-class infrastructure by selecting and integrating top-tier service providers across fund administration, prime brokerage, legal/compliance, accounting/tax, cybersecurity, and technology.

This focus delivers scalable support systems that allow investment teams to focus exclusively on alpha generation.

Prior to joining Stable Rock, Thomas served as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer at several alternative investment managers, including Sandia Investment Management LP, Candelo Capital, and Teca Partners. This multi-faceted leadership background highlights the breadth of his operational and regulatory expertise.

He has also held senior finance roles as CFO at Serafima Investments and Touradji Capital Management, as well as COO, CFO, and CCO at Clearline Capital. Earlier in his career, he served as CFO at AM Investment Partners and as a Financial Controller at The Blackstone Group.

Thomas began his career at Ernst & Young, where he spent five years across the New York and Cayman Islands offices. This tenure provided the global financial foundation and cross-border accounting expertise that has defined his career in alternative assets.

Thomas earned his B.B.A. from Hofstra University and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1997.

Outside of work Thomas spends as much time as he can with his family. He also enjoys playing golf and running.
