Sumon Thomas is a Managing Director on Stable Rock's CFO & Accounting Support team with more than 14 years of experience in financial services and alternative investments, serving hedge funds, private equity funds, real estate investment firms, and other alternative investment managers. She specializes in CFO advisory, fund administration, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and operations strategy, helping clients strengthen infrastructure, enhance efficiency, and support long-term growth.
Prior to joining Stable Rock, Sumon served as Director at Leap District Advisors, where she provided fractional CFO services and strategic operational advisory support to alternative investment managers. Before that, she spent nearly a decade with Northern Trust, holding leadership roles across Asset Management and Fund Services. Throughout her career, she has overseen client service functions supporting a diverse range of investment funds, managers, and structures. She is recognized for building high-performing teams, driving sustained operational excellence, and delivering thoughtful, strategic solutions that help clients navigate complex business challenges and achieve their objectives.
Sumon holds a Master of Business Administration from University of California, Irvine and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University Bloomington, where she majored in Accounting and Finance and minored in Sociology.

Outside of work, Sumon enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, reading, and spending quality time with her family. She is also active in her local community and serves on the parent-teacher organization board at her children's elementary school. Sumon resides in Winnetka, Illinois, with her husband and two children.
