Steven Gargano is a Director in our Accounting & CFO Services Team. Steven brings over 25 years of experience leading financial strategy, technology, and operations across the investment management, fintech, and professional services industries. He has held senior leadership roles including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Managing Director, driving innovation and process improvement through the use of analytics and artificial intelligence.

Steven's expertise spans financial and tax strategy, regulatory compliance, risk management, and the use of technology and artificial intelligence to streamline reporting, controls, and decision-making. He is known for driving operational transformation by strengthening payment systems, fraud prevention, and end-to-end process efficiency across complex, multi-entity organizations.

Steven holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University, where he studied Accounting, Applied Economics, and Leadership Development. He is a Certified Public Accountant and serves as a board member of the College of Business as well as a director on the Cornell University Trustee Advisory Council.

Rock-Solid Outside Of Work

Outside of work, Steven can be found honing his BBQ Pit master skills. He owns a combination of 10 grills and smokers and has visited more than 85 legendary BBQ restaurants across the U.S.—from South Texas and Austin to North Carolina, Alabama, Memphis, and Kansas City. He enjoys sharing his passion for barbecue, competition cooking, and the stories behind regional BBQ taste profiles, cooking styles, and traditions.
