Professional Background
Sarah Murphy is a Director in our Accounting & CFO Services team. Sarah brings over 14 years of public and private accounting experience, specializing in Real Estate, Construction, and Manufacturing industries. Her expertise includes financial statement review and preparation, GAAP compliance, consolidation accounting, WIP and percentage-of-completion analysis, and lease accounting.
Prior to joining Stable Rock, Sarah most recently served as the Assistant Controller for one of the largest private homebuilders in South Florida, where she prepared the consolidated financial statements monthly and worked with their external audit team annually. She continually reviewed processes and procedures to find ways to be more efficient, accurate, and compliant with GAAP and various laws and regulations. Most recently, she was instrumental in the implementation of Yardi accounting software for their commercial real estate company.
Before transitioning to industry, she was an Audit and Assurance Manager at Daszkal Bolton (now CohnReznick), where she managed the audits of public and private companies in various industries, including manufacturing, real estate, professional services, and pharmaceutical research & development.
Sarah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Florida.
Rock-Solid Outside of Work
Born and raised in Connecticut, Sarah recently moved back to the area with her husband and two boys after nearly 20 years in Florida. She enjoys spending time outdoors and with her family, as well as crocheting and watching the Miami Dolphins.
