Professional Background
Kelly is a Director on Stable Rock's Accounting & CFO Services team with more than 15 years of experience in senior accounting roles across various industries. She has expertise in company transitions, the software industry, revenue recognition standards, family office operations, and investment management. She is especially positioned to support clients with liquidity management as well as with complex financial and organizational change.
Prior to joining Stable Rock, Kelly was an Executive Director at MSCI, Inc, following MSCI's acquisition of The Burgiss Group in October 2023. She was instrumental in transitioning the finance team to MSCI's public company structure. At The Burgiss Group, a fintech leader in private equity data analytics, Kelly oversaw global accounting and finance operations as Financial Controller, including the consolidation of multiple entities and leading the purchase price accounting and integration during Burgiss's acquisition of Caissa in 2021.
Prior to her experience in corporate accounting, she spent seven years as the Financial Controller for an ultra-high-net-worth family office, managing their liquidity needs, compliance, and financial reporting for various investments and ownership structures. She partnered with the CFO on complex ventures, including the purchase of an NHL team and launching a hedge fund. She also worked for a boutique private wealth management where she managed the end-to-end tax and financial needs of clients with small businesses.
Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and a minor in Mathematics from the University of Vermont, as well as a Master of Business Administration from NYU Leonard N. Stern School of Business, specializing in Corporate Finance, Financial Instruments & Markets, and Law & Business. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in New York State.
Rock-Solid Outside Of Work
Kelly lives in a Jersey Shore town that is five minutes from the beach and across the street from a large hiking destination. Outside of work, you can find her at the beach or hiking while listening to audio books. She also loves to travel with her husband and two daughters when she gets the chance.
