Professional Background
Jody Chesnov, CPA, is a Senior Advisor at Stable Rock Solutions, bringing more than 30 years of experience in accounting, finance, tax, and strategic advisory services. A trusted partner to founders and high-growth organizations, Jody has guided hundreds of early-stage and scaling companies through complex financial questions, operational challenges, and strategic inflection points. His pragmatic approach, deep technical knowledge, and ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insight make him a highly sought-after advisor for entrepreneurs and executive teams.
Prior to joining Stable Rock in 2024 through the acquisition of Rosenberg Chesnov CPAs LLP, Jody served as Managing Partner of Rosenberg Chesnov for 20 years. In that role, he led a full-service accounting and advisory practice supporting clients across a variety of industries. Before entering public accounting, he held senior leadership roles in the private sector, including General Manager and Chief Financial Officer positions, gaining first-hand exposure to the operational realities and decision-making demands of growing businesses.
Jody's experience spans startup formation, accounting infrastructure design, tax planning, investor readiness, financial operations, and long-term growth strategy. His work centers on helping organizations understand their financial picture holistically—organizationally, operationally, and strategically—allowing founders to scale successfully. He specializes in early-to middle-stage growth companies, devising practical, innovative solutions that simplify complexity and support ambitious business goals.
In addition to his client work, Jody plays an active role in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. For the past seven years, he has served as an Advisory Board Member and Angel Investor with the Westchester Angels, mentoring emerging companies and supporting founders through financing and growth. He also contributes his expertise through multiple New York State Society of CPAs committees, including the Emerging Tech Entrepreneurial Committee, the Private Equity and Venture Capital Committee, and the Family Office Committee. He additionally mentors founders through the Founder Institute.
Jody holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baruch College. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in New York and is an active member of both the AICPA and the NYSSCPA.
Rock-Solid Outside Of Work
