Professional Background

Bill Leondis is a Senior Manager on Stable Rock's Tax Services & Strategy team with more than 14 years of experience in public accounting. He specializes in tax compliance and planning for real estate clients, including partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, and high-net-worth individuals. His expertise spans rental real estate, real estate funds, development projects, and condominium sales, with a focus on navigating the complexities of multistate and multinational tax matters.

Throughout his career, Bill has managed the preparation and final review of complex federal and state tax returns, including Forms 1065, 1120, and 1120-S. He has served as the primary point of contact for clients, consulting with CFOs, CAOs, and investment managers on tax strategies related to acquisitions, dispositions, and entity structuring. Bill is also passionate about leadership and professional development, mentoring junior team members and leading technical training sessions to strengthen team expertise and client service.

Prior to joining Stable Rock, Bill held senior roles at Cohen & Company and RSM US LLP, where he was part of their Real Estate Services practices. Earlier in his career, he gained broad accounting experience at Vasil CPA Firm, supporting both individuals and businesses with tax preparation, financial reporting, and audit assistance.

Bill holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brooklyn College, City University of New York, and is an Enrolled Agent (EA).

A proud Brooklyn native, Bill enjoys traveling with his wife and two children. When not exploring new destinations, he can be found cooking, weightlifting, camping, or practicing archery.
